Two Way Radios Help You Keep in Touch

Maybe a cyber attack has wiped out the communications grid. Or natural disaster has resulted in longterm power down situation. Your cell phone’s a no go… but you can still communicate with friends and family.

Two way radios can be a life saver. If you’re trying to meet up, find one another, or just send instructions, having a set of walkie talkies allow you to communicate and coordinate at a distance.

They also give you the chance to brush up on your code language. Given that anyone can listen in, you may not want to be too specific with coordinates, but that also gives you the opportunity to potentially listen to others.

These little guys can be inexpensive or, if you get the commercial or military kind, a substantial investment. Hands free headset radios (think event management) can be convenient, but best not used around people, as they can draw unwanted… and possibly lethal… attention to you.
