Catching Wild Yeast
Maybe you’ve used up the last of your least, or lent it to your neighbour right before TSHTF. Maybe your yeast supply has passed away. (It has a definite shelf life.)
Maybe the dog ate your sourdough starter.
Good news: yeast, like love, is all around us. It’s possible to capture wild yeast from the air. So, when TSHTF, resourceful you can STILL make sourdough and other goodies.
All you need is some water, a bit of flour… and patience. Your starter should be ready in just under a week.
